My interest in musicology started early in my childhood and never ran away. Ludwig van Beethoven has always been an important character for me, omnipresent in my life. Thanks to him I discovered Franz Liszt and his piano transcriptions of the symphonies. The latter became a frequent companion in my musical journey. The man, the musician and teacher fascinate me. Finally, first through the examination of deafness in Beethoven’s life and music, and then looking at the world of professional music today, I delved into the study of disability in music.
By learning, we end up transmitting our knowledge. There are multiple ways to do it: by singing or playing an instrument, through academic work, social medias, specialized newspapers and journals… This website offers a little bit of everything. I believe that knowledge should be spread widely and enjoyed by everyone. Have fun discovering.
