Abstract:
When the book “When I think Beethoven is dead when so many morons live!” was published, I ran to my book shop to purchase a copy. Thus, after Mozart, Mr. Schmitt dedicated a book to Beethoven… It was a complete expereince: I appreciate both the man and the composer, so I enjoyed myself. I wondered how I could describe the two texts published in the book and mention what I liked. One is about Schmitt’s thoughts about Beethoven, the other is a monologue called “Kiki van Beethoven”. They are very different so I propose two parts to this article. I interviewed Danièle Lebrun who performed the play in Paris, at the Théâtre de la Bruyère, directed by Christophe Lidon.
